Tsumago ... Daikichi or Fujioto 2013/2/22 02:20
Hi,

I will be visiting the Kiso Valley and the Tsumago area.

I will stay 1 night with my fiance

I am not sure where to stay ... Daikichi or Fujioto.

I know these are not Ryokan , they are Minshuku, but both have good reputation.

Has anyone staryed at these inns before? what are they like ?, would you recoommend them ?

which would be better for a traditional inn feeling ?

I stay ryokan often, shirokawa go, nagano, Shin hotaka, Kyoto, Kuronagi onsen, Shibu onsen, many times, but this is firet time to stay in Minshuku.

can any one tell me if these inns are nice feeling and which you would recommend ?

Thank you so much

I have stayed at Fujioto several times and it is a great place to stay. The owner speaks English and Italian (as well as Japanese). He and his family go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable and were even able to accommodate my gluten-free diet. I can't recommend them highly enough. I haven't stayed at Daikichi so I can't make a comparison.
