Shibu Onsen to Shigakogen 2013/2/26 15:21
Hi,

My name is indhi, and im planning to go to Shibu onsen on early april and spend a night there. My question is,
1. how to go there from Yudanaka station and how much will it cost.

2. if i go to the snow monkey park in the afternoon will it be ok? and how to go there from Shibu onsen

3. How to go to shigakogen from shibu onsen and how much will it cost? how early the bus will be.

I visited the park around 2 PM a few months ago, no problem.
Not sure when you are planning to visit, but check the opening hours:

It depends on when you are in Shibu onsen, but will take easily 30 minutes on foot.
It is about 15 minutes from Snow Monkey park's car parking lot at Shibu onsen side.

Hi yllwsmrf thank you. Yes i saw that link but i was hoping to have more detail answer like which bus that i need to take etc.

We are going there around 1 pm, so which means it should be ok :).
If i walk from shibu onsen to there is there anything that worth to visit or see on our way there?

I see. Well the bus to Shiga Kogen is the Ski Shuttle Bus on the Shiga Kogen Line. Here's the timetable (sorry its Japanese only):

But I would recommend a taxi for Shibu Onsen as the bus stop is kinda outside town. Also, if you stay at a ryokan they might be able to arrange to pick you up at the station.

I could not see anything particularly interesting from Shibu onsen to the parking lot, but getting more picturesque when getting closer to the monkey park. You may want to check with your ryokan if they provide free shuttle to the Monkey parkfs parking lot. I have heard some do.
