Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea 2013/3/1 05:23
Hello! I was debating what to do my last to days in Japan (April 15 & 16) and decided Disneyland! I've been doing some research but can't come across the information I need. I was going to get a night pass for the 15 and full day (yes open to close) for the 16. My question is what park on what day? I've been to Disneyland in California (awesome) and I also love the shows at both parks. Fantasmic and World of Color. I also love parades and riding rides as well. Disneyland is supposed to have a new day parade around the time I visit but have no idea the start time. Also, if Disneyland Tokyo is the same as California, I don't want to waste my time. Extra info: I am 26, going by myself. Thank you for your input!!

Disneyland is similar to Disneyland in California. I would spend half a day there.

Tokyo Disney Sea is amazing and absolutely unique. Do a whole day there.

April 15 and 16 in 2013 will be weekdays, and presumably most of schoolchildren will be in a spring school term.
I suppose at least on April 16 you can find attractions for which you would not have to wait extremely long, but some attractions may be crowded especially in the night of April 15. One thing to note is that it will be at the very beginning of the Happiness Year (2013.4.15 - 2014.3.20) celebrating the 30th anniversary of Tokyo Disney Resort operation.

Because I do not know Disneyland in California and it was years ago I visited Tokyo Disneyland last time, I cannot make a comparison personally. But when I visited Tokyo DisneySea in the last year 2012, a FASTPASS worked well for me to enjoy one attraction which was very crowded when I entered the park, though it was not very easy to find a vending machine near the attraction.

If you are OK to purchase your Tokyo Disney park ticket(s) at Ticket Center (even though it may be crowded), you can take a chance of reserving your ticket(s) via the official website and be guaranteed an admission to the park. For April 16, if you stay on the previous night in one hotel among Disney Hotels and Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotels, you can purchase your ticket at the hotel, and when admissions to the park is restricted the hotel can issue a certificate so that you can get an admission smoothly. Note that any of the two benefits on admissions will not save your time inside the park.

I was researching a bit on 'Happiness Year' and it seems like it would be pretty fun. Exclusive to TDL. But TDS is only in Japan. But I don't plan on seeing too many 'shows' there. I'm more into waiting in line for fun rides. So I'm thinking TDS 1/2 day and TDL the whole day. But I read a ton of folks think TDS is the best park they've been too!!

Thank you for your replies and advice.
