Hi,
I will come to Japan in the beginning of May.
We will come 2 adult and 1 child 9 years old.
I would like to ask you about few thinks:

1. can we stay in any capsul hotel? (with child)
2. in which station in Tokyo and which time we can see special people who help to close the door in the metro?

3. we will go to Hiroshima, Kyoto and Tokio. Where is the best hot spring or bath where we can go?

4. we would like to stay for ine night in some temple. Can you recomend us some place close the place where we will be?

5. One day we would like to spend with wpunderfull view, trailing, walking. I dont know where we can go. I'm thinking about Mount Azuma. Is possible during one day go there, walk and back to Tokyo?

Regards,
Bozena

I believe that a capsule hotel is a one-per-person accomidation, and I do not know if a nine year old will be allowed to be in a "room" by themselves. My guess is no.

2. in which station in Tokyo and which time we can see special people who help to close the door in the metro?

I have never seen them, and this is soemthing I have never tried to see. my guess is that larger stations on the Yamanote loop line may have "aids" during morning and evening rush hours, but I don't remember ever seeing any.

3. we will go to Hiroshima, Kyoto and Tokio. Where is the best hot spring or bath where we can go?

I am giving you the Uji top nine:
Kusatsu Onsen - best water
Nyuto Onsen Tsurunoyu - best rustic
Kurokawa Onsen - nicest town and great outdoor baths
Beppu Onsen - best variety of baths
Kinosaki Onsen - best nostalgic town
Seni Onsen - best onsen ryokan
Okuhida Onsen - great waters and baths in superb scenery
Sukayu Onsen - most atmospheric indoor bath
Kirishima Onsen - great waters and nice hiking nearby

You can find details on all of them on japan-guide.com.

My sugestion would be to get a Tobu-Nikko World Heritage pass, and vist Nikko. This is a two day pass, and you can go to Kinugawa Onsen (which is not on Uji's list), and stay there before returning back to Tokyo. Links to Nikko and Kinugawa:

I would go to a temple on Mount Koya, which is near Kyoto.

I am not sure about Mount Azuma, I have included a link to a report on hiking in this area:

I can recommend somewhere closer to Tokyo, which would be Chichibu. The greenhouses with strawberries should be open, and the Phlox hill in Hitsujiyama Park should be in full bloom. In addition, there are lots of late blooming cherry trees that may still be in bloom at the beginning of May. Their flower festival is held during golden week. My guess is that they will have the food area and a festival atmosphere on the weekend of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. There are hiking trails and a pilgrimage route that you can walk.http://blog.japanican.com/en/staffblog/2008/0425_shibasakura_397.html

I hope these links help.
