I would like to visit Ashikaga Flower Park for Wisteria on my last day in Tokyo e.i. 14 April 2013. KIndly advise if the Wisteria will blooming as at 14 April 2013. I read from website that Wisteria normally will blooming from mid of April to mid of May.

You may have to go south to see wisteria in bloom in early April.

There are two places in northern Kyushu that have large plantings of wisteria that might be in bloom. I don't know if you plan to have an active JR Pass to go there.

Yanagawa has a Wisteria Festival during the month of April:

There is also the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu:

I hope this helps.

Mid April is too early for wisteria in Ashikaga Flower. Late April to early May stands a better chance. We were there last year on April 25 and there was hardly any.
