Tokyo International Fair Camera Policy 2013/3/24 05:05
I am curious about the anime fair's camera policy. I have a dslr (a camera with interchangeable lenses) that I would like to bring. I am confused by the website's FAQ regarding camera policies.

"Q. Is shooting permitted at the event site?
A. Please ask the each exhibitor before you shoot. Then please follow an instruction them."

But then later, in the press section, it notes that "Also, please note that some special camera will not be allowed to use arond the site."

I am not press and I will not use my images for commercial purposed, but I would like to use my quality camera. Will this be a problem?

As you are not press, the press section should not apply to you. And a DSLR is not a special camera and they are probably referring to video set ups that might need extra lights, cameras that wirelessly communicate with a harddisk while shooting, etc.
