Cherry blossom in Kyoto? 2013/3/25 15:22
Hello,

I am going on a trip to Japan from April 6th-19th... As Tokyo's cherry blossom season will be over by that time, I am going to Osaka/Kyoto/Hiroshima on April 8th, so if I go to Kyoto (Philosopher's Path or Maruyama Park) on that day, am I likely to see any cherry blossoms or it will be too late?

It is very difficult to predict. But if there is no strong rain or wind in the days preceding April 8, I think you have a good chance to still witness the later part of this year's season in Kyoto. In case that the Philosopher's Path is beyond the peak, the blooming season will still be ongoing in the garden of Heian Shrine and other spots known for later blooming trees.
