hello!
can someone tell me how to get to shizuoka from osaka or kyoto? (im not sure where i would be departing from)
next month will my second trip to japan and this time i will be traveling alone from kyoto/osaka to shizuoka. i am clueless about the transportation. can you tell me how to get to shizuoka from osaka / kyoto ( i dont know where yet for sure)
if you could help me, that would be very, very helpful! :)

By Tokaido Shinkansen (about 2 hours, 10,000 yen one way) or highway bus (about 5-6 hours, 4,500 yen one way).

wow shinkansen is very expensive. do they have promotion rates for tourist?
how about regular train? how long will that take?
