Takayama and Okuhida questions

1. Will we see any Sakura in Tokyo and Takayama by next week as I understand the season is very early this year.

2. If so, where do you recommend?

3. As we intend to go up Shinhotaku Ropeway on the morning of our arrival into Okuhida, is there storage for our luggage at the Ropeway?

3. How to go to move around in Okuhida - from Ropeway to our Ryokan?

4. What is the temperature in early April?

6. How to book for transport back to Tokya from Okuhida via Matsumoto?

Yes, in Tokyo and Kyushu. In many other areas it early but not that early. And who knows what happens until it is Takayama's turn to bloom.

Usually there are coin lockers at places like this. If not, then the staff is usually able to store some luggage for a while.

How to go to move around in Okuhida - from Ropeway to our Ryokan?

Depends where your ryokan is located. Generally speaking, the bus is pretty convenient. Rental car can be an alternative.

What is the temperature in early April?

Around 10-15 degrees at the bottom of the ropeway. Probably around 5 degrees at the top of the ropeway.

How to book for transport back to Tokya from Okuhida via Matsumoto?

Advance booking is not possible for the bus to Matsumoto. From Matsmumoto, you can take a train to Tokyo for which seat reservations are optional and can be made at any JR station in Japan.
