Kindly refer to hyperdia link number 01 and 02 below. Hyperdia link number 01, Route 4 1) Please refer to the below link01, noticed that there a double arrow down sign at Takada(Nara) station. What does that means? Transfer needed? Hyperdia linke number 02, Route 1 Yoshinoguchi to Takada(Nara) JR Wakayama line Takada(Nara) to Oji(Nara) JR Wakayama line Oji(Nara) to Nara JR Yamatoji rapid service Nara to Kyoto JR Nara line 2) Noticed that "Yoshinoguchi to Takada" & "Takada to Oji" both are JR Wakayama line. Do I need to do transfer at Takada in order myself to reach Oji even though the same Wakayama line? 3) My own understanding is that, at Yoshinoguchi Station take Wakayama line and stop at Oji Station. Then from Oji Station do the transfer and use JR Yamatoji rapid service to Nara Station. Lastly, from Nara station take the JR Nara line back to Kyoto. Please correct me if I am wrong. 1) Please refer to the below link01, noticed that there a double arrow down sign at Takada(Nara) station. What does that means? Transfer needed? It means that a transfer is not needed: http://www.hyperdia.com/en/help/help_ke.html2) Noticed that "Yoshinoguchi to Takada" & "Takada to Oji" both are JR Wakayama line. Do I need to do transfer at Takada in order myself to reach Oji even though the same Wakayama line?Yes. You are reading it in the wrong direction. The results are from Kyoto to Yoshinoguchi and not the other way around. Routes and connections vary based on the direction and the time of the day.
