Transportation from Keyakidaira

Hello all,
I am planning to visit Japan around July, and enjoy the wonderful Kurobe Gorge Railway.
The plan is to get to Unazuki from Kanazawa via trains, and then take the noon-afternoon train journey all the way to Keyakidaira.

The question is what to do from here, I am thinking of making Hakuba/Kamikochi/Matsumoto my next stop before heading back to Tokyo, but is there any transportation from Keyakidaira to those places, or would I have to go back the same way I came?

As you can see, there are no easy, direct connections. The best would be traveling back to Uozu, take JR via Itoigawa to Hakuba, before continuing to Matsumoto and making a side trip from there to Kamikochi. Then, return from Matsumoto to Tokyo. 3-5 days are needed to see these places, including the Kurobe Gorge.

Guess I will be going back to Unazuki and heading towards Matsumoto then.
