Yoshino worth a visit now?

Is it still worth a visit to yoshino now? Any chance to see beautiful sakura? Considering the long journey

Can I confirm that there is no more night illumination in kiyomizudera as of 20 Apr? Thanks !

I am afraid the cherry blossom season is already over at Yoshino.

The evening illuminations at Kiyomizudera are also over.

we were there last april 12 and only saw a tree or two with sakura remaining so i dont think Yoshino is a good option for hanami on the date you indicated.

though we did enjoy it for the quaint small town feel of it, the sakura products they had that we didnt see in Kyoto and having tea with the mountains as backdrop :)

visited April, 12 too, did'n t see much of sakura either. But the place itself is full of character I should agree
