Meeting Spot in Kyoto Station 2013/4/25 22:57
I saw a sign in Kyoto Station that says meeting spot. The logo is like a tower. What is the name of this meeting spot and what can one find in this meeting spot?

I have been in the station a hundred times, but never noticed the meeting point you are describing. Do you have a picture?

I always meet people around the central shinkansen ticket gates.

It is called "Toki no Akari" 時の灯, the lit clock tower.

Located on the 2nd floor main corridor across from the West Gate inbetween Suvaco.
But there are so many other meeting places in the station.

if you take Jr train, just follow people to the central exit. The clock will be opposite site of the ticket gates. If you need a toilet, you will find escalator to the left that will lead you to the restroom.
