Vacation during Obon & Disneyland

Hello,
We have a trip booked to Japan arriving 8/5/13 and leaving 8/16/13 . Didn't realize that there was a holiday (Obon). We plan to go Tokyo and Kyoto. We are planing to go to Kyoto first. Maybe Tuesday 8/6 and then back to Tokyo on Friday 8/9. Then stay in Tokyo and take some day trips.
How busy is it going to be? We really want to go to Disneyland for 1 or 2 days. If we get fixed day tickets when we get to Tokyo will that be soon enough? Thinking Disneyland on 8/12 or 8/13.
Was looking forward to special trip with family , so disappointed to find out that it was a holiday week :(
Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

How busy is it going to be?
Very busy, especially attractions popular with families. And particularly so after August 10, when many businesses will have holidays in addition to school holidays.
Therefore, I would consider going to Disneyland on a weekday before August 10.
