Cherry blossoms blooming in Kakunodate 2013/5/2 09:37
I will be in Kakunodate on 12 May. I wonder whether the cherry blossoms blooming still remain.

The historic weeping cherry trees in the samurai district will almost certainly have lost their petals. But if there are no major storms, some of the trees along the river may still be nice. Here is a good website to follow the current state:

See the rightmost image for the riverside trees and the second from the right for the weeping cherries.
