Mountain huts around Murodo 2013/6/13 16:29
We have not hiked in Japan before and would like to do so this summer (early August). From the info on the web, it appears doing a loop from Murodo to Mt Oyama to Mt Bessan then back to Murodo is within our capability if not rushed. Hence we prefer to do this in 2 days rather in 1. Tsurugi Gozen Hut seems to be the place to go to for lodging. With summer being the peak season for hiking, we want to be sure that we can stay at the hut for the night or otherwise we will be in wilderness. We are unable to find a way to secure space. Is there a way to reserve beds in that hut? BTW we don't speak or read Japanese.

Sorry I'm not clear on the area (there are several Murodo's, Mt. Oyamas, and Mt. Bessans). Are you talking about the area around Hakusan in Ishikawa-ken?

We refer to Murodo on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.

http://www.tsurugigozen.com/

They have an email address, try sending one in simple English to see whether they response.
okaka@tsurugigozen.com

Or try seeking help through the following email address for the Alpine Route.
kaigai@alpen-route.co.jp

Beautiful. That is what we are after. We have now to try our luck on the desired date. Thanks a lot.
