Onomichi

Dear Japan guiders,
We will be in Onimichi with children one day
We don't have a car

What activities can we do ?
The orchid garden is a little bit of path
Is is worth is to take the ferry to go to the orchid garden

Is the biking difficult ?
Do you recommend taking a bike on the ferry to cycle a little bit further away ?

But if it starts raining would it be a good plan to go to Kurashiki ?

I was in Onomichi in April this year. I would recommend the Mt Senkoji Ropeway. The view from the top is amazing and you can walk down through a really lovely park.

Cycling is pretty fun and easy. You don't have to do all the bridges and you can get a ferry that allows you to start part of the way across. You can drop your bike at any of the cycle parks on each of the islands making it convenient to then use other transport. You can also hire electrically assisted bikes but these need to be returned to the bike park you rented it from.
