Price of buses from takayama to Shirakawago 2013/7/8 23:53
I understand there are regular Nohi buses from Takayama plying Shirakawago and back. Does anyone knows :

1. Does JR Pass covers Nohi buses ?
2. DO they have different bus prices for children ?

As we'd like to tour the place on our own pace, does anyone has any idea if there are any free English speaking guide in Shirakawago, just like in Tokyo ?

Thanks

No.

I don't see a child price or other info listed on their website so probably not.

I wasn't able to find any free english guides for the area. Maybe contact the local tourist association for more info:

As stated above there is no child fare indicated on the Nohi bus service and the JR rail pass is not valid for it. If you are doing a day trip to Shirakawa-go from Takayama the roundtrip fare is 4300 yen.

But interestingly there are half-day guided tours whose cost is cheaper than the regular roundtrip bus fare, and there is children fare as well.
