Megijima and Ogijima

The site says it takes about half a day to see both islands but do you think it would be too rushed (or impossible) to do them both in one day?
This is for the art festival, so I would want to see all the artwork. I assume that is considered in the half-day estimation but I know viewing the art can significantly slow the pace.
Anyway, do you think it's a good idea or better to give each a day?

The Q & A is just a general guide about all the islands. I want to know specifically if it is possible to do Megijima and Ogijima in one day or if it would be rushed. I would want to see all of the art on each island.
