I would like to know if Enoshima Iwaya Cave is possible for a wheelchair-user to visit. Are there many steps?

- Walking across the island: Found one Yahoo!Japan Q & A (by a Japanese) who wanted to take her mom in a wheelchair to Enoshima Shrine (which is along the way to Iwaya) and to the observatory; she gave up halfway along the way because of staircase. One of the respondents said that the views you can see from Enoshima are well enjoyable without going to the observatory at the top, though.

- By a boat: there is a sightseeing boat that takes you from the pier as you get to Enoshima to Iwaya. (No timetable - they depart as tourists come.) They may suspend service if the waves are rough.

- If you manage to get to Iwaya itself, it looks like a well-paved way.
