We will be in Tokyo from 15th - 21st October. I understand that Kawagoe Festival starts on the 3rd Saturday & Sunday which is 19th & 20th October. My question is:
1) What time is the festival starts and end? 2) What is the fastest mode of transport from Kayabacho to Kawagoe? 3) How big is this town? Can i actually walk to most of the attraction ? 4) Where is "Hikkawase" held?
Would appreciate if anyone can give me more info regarding this festival. Thanks

Here is the official site of Kawagoe matsuri in English. It lasts day to night. http://kawagoematsuri.jp/English/index.htmlKayabacho to Ikebukuro by Metro (20 minutes with one change at Otemachi) Ikebukuro to Kawagoe by Tobu Tojo Line (30 minutes by Express at track #2, don't take a milkrun) The city population is about 350,000. In the two days, it will be super crowded and no other way by walking around from/to the station. Be prepared.
