Nishiki Market on a Sunday

I know that it says says the closed days varies by store. However has any ever experienced going to Nishiki Market on a Sunday? Are many of the stores open on that day?
I arrive in Tokyo on a Sunday morning and then heading straight to Kyoto and thought it be nice to have a stroll through the market once I've checked in at the hotel. Because I doubt I'd have the energy to visit any temples or shrines on my first day in Kyoto.

Stores at Nishiki should be all open on Sundays.
