Is Tsukiji tuna auction tour cancelled?

Dear Sir
I am planning to trip to Tsukiji on 20 Dec 2013
I'm very interested on seeing the Tuna auction in the fish market. I was told that the tuna auction tour was cancelled recently. Tourist are not allowed to see the tuna auction. Pls adv.

The auction is suspended temporary between December and mid-January due to busiest time of the year in the market toward end of the year and new year celebration. I guess the market will officially announce around November every year that they will stop publicly opened tuna auction for visitors. Only registered merchants can be participated auction during the period.
