Miyajima & Hiroshima from Kyoto in One day?

Is it doable to take the train from Kyoto to Hiroshima, visit the peace park, and then going to Miyajima for the Shrine and Roapway, and
coming back to Kyoto in the same day?

It is doable. But It sounds rushing.

7:00-8:30 Kyoto to Hiroshima
9:00-11:00 peace park and surroundings
11:00-12:00 peace park to Miyajima
12:00-14:00 lunch and Miyajima shrine
14:00-16:00 Misen mountain
16:00-17:00 Miyajima to Hiroshima station
17:00-18:30 Hiroshima to Kyoto


Recommendation is you stay one night in Horoshima and you just come back to Kyoto early in the morning the next day.

Mmmh, it will be quite an intense day but definitely worth doing. Just make sure to arrive to Hiroshima no later than 9am; then allow yourself all the time needed at peace park (it's a place I wouldn't rush through); then you can move to Miyajima and stay there until the evening then catch the ferry after sunset and go back to Kyoto.

Agree with that. Just about possible but tight. Dont forget street car takes around 15 mins or so to Peace Park from the Station. You can save a bit of time on Miyajima by going up by Ropeway. Nice views at top nut cafe is a bit ropey. Walk down is nice. But often have to wait 15 mins or so for a ferry and boat takes another 20mins or so. So i think journey needs to allow longer unless you take more expensive hydrofoil, or taxi instead of tram. Dont forget to try okonomiyaki on Miyajima. Great local dish.

One eats oysters on Miyajima, surely? Looking out at the oyster cages in the bay.
