Tuna market in Katsuura hours?

Hi We plan to be in Katsuura in Wakayama Prefecture in late March 2014. Can anyone tell me what days and hours the tuna market in Katsuura operates (we will be there on a Friday or Saturday and don't want to miss it)? Can we just turn up to watch?

Thank you. Do the red dots on the calendar in the link you sent mean the market is not open on a Saturday morning? We will be there on a Friday or a Saturday so will plan to be there on Friday if it is not open on Saturday.
