Nagoya travel guide 2014/1/8 23:30
Hi would like to ask some help on details with things i'd like do while in nagoya...will be arriving from nagoya chubu airport on sunday at 8pm...will there still be trains available at that time going to KANAYAMA?

Then the next day i would like to go to Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul (Nunoike Church) around 6am as i'd like to hear a mass could you pls give the best route how to get there from KANAYAMA STATION.

After hearing mass...would love to go to nagoya castle, toyota museum and tsuruma park then head straight to kyoto at GION, tradional MIYAGAWASUJI street to stay the rest of the night.

On my third day would like to see thousands of torii. And will see what else to see in kyoto. Could pls suggest which one should i go first? Also, what are train rides and train passes recommended for visitors for this tour. Also, the operation of hours of the places I mentioned. My friend said that some museums are closed on mondays? How true? Please advise. thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, the last departure is not until almost 11pm. You can look up train connections here:

Then the next day i would like to go to Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul (Nunoike Church) around 6am as i'd like to hear a mass could you pls give the best route how to get there from KANAYAMA STATION.

Take the Chuo Line two stations from Kanayama to Chikusa Station from where the church is a short walk. The first train depart at 5:43 and arrives at Chikusa at 5:48.

Alternatively you could take the Meijo Subway Line from Kanayama to Sakae and transfer to the Higashiyama Subway Line to Sakaemachi Station which is also very close to the church. The first connection leaves at 5:30 and arrives at Sakaemachi at 5:44.

You could also walk there in about an hour:

After hearing mass...would love to go to nagoya castle, toyota museum and tsuruma park then head straight to kyoto at GION, tradional MIYAGAWASUJI street to stay the rest of the night.

On my third day would like to see thousands of torii.

Yuu must refer to Fushimi Inari Shrine:

Could pls suggest which one should i go first?

It depends what you want to see and where you will be staying. But Fushimi Inari is close to Kyoto Station. So, it could be good in the beginning. Or if you return to Kyoto Station at the end of the day, then it could also be suitable at the end of the day. Access to the shrine is explained on the above linked page.

Also, what are train rides and train passes recommended for visitors for this tour.

Transportation in Nagoya and tickets are explained on the second half of the following page:
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3302.html

And for Kyoto on the second half of the following page. The first half of the page explains the various options for travel between Nagoya and Kyoto:

My friend said that some museums are closed on mondays? How true?

Yes, such museums exist. Please look up the admission details for each museum individually. They are found on this very website.
