Can Juhyo be seen in May in Mt. Zao

I am planning to go to Japan in early May.
I would like to see the Juhyo. Will there still be juhyo to be seen in May in Mt. Zao.
If not, where else can we view it. We also plan to go to Hokkaido.

No, May is way too late for juhyo anywhere in Japan. You have to come in February or early March, but even then the juhyo are not guaranteed when the weather is too mild.
