JR Kanto Pass for Kinugawa Onsen Station

Gomennasai, could anybody clarify whether the said pass also cover the route from JR Nikko to Kinugawa Onsen Station. I am so confused with this. Answer with altenatives would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Kinugawa Onsen is only connected to Tobu-Nikko Station, but the JR Kanto Area Pass is not valid on that section. The confusion may stem from the fact that the JR East Pass is valid between Tobu-Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen, but the Kanto Area Pass is not: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2361_02.html
