Hi, I would like to check is it still possible to visit kumano kodo end November 2014 as I know some of the places in Japan is not open all year round because of the upcoming winter season.

The Nakahechi route of the Kumano Kodo is open all year long. From mid-December to mid-March there is a small chance of some snow on the passes if a severe cold system comes across Japan. But it usually melts soon afterwards. During the winter months the days are shorter, so you will need to plan your walks carefully. The hot springs are great at this time of year to soak in and relax!
