Haneda airport, exchange office JR pass 2014/3/16 20:56
Our domestic flight from Ishigaki Island arrives at 18.55 at Haneda airport, Tokyo. We want to validate our JR pass. But the exchange office at Haneda airport closes at 18.30.

What is the best way to get our pass? We want to use it straight away to get to Tokyo center.

The website of JReast (http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/customer_support/service_center_haneda.html) states:

At other times, you can redeem your Exchange Orders for JR EAST PASSES and Japan Rail Passes as well as purchase JR EAST PASSES at nearby JR Ticket Offices (Midori-no-Madoguchi) located at JR stations

Does anyone know where "Midori-no-Madoguchi" is. Is it at the airport or somewhere else?

Thanks!

You can do the exchange when you arrive in Japan, and choose as start date the day when your flight from Ishigaki arrives at HND.

You can find the JR green window counter at mostly all JR train station. So if your are not using on the first day, then just change it in tokyo.

You won't make it for haneda, so you will need go to tokyo central to exchange. Thus you will need to a separate fee for you to go tokyo.

here's the others exchange places.

Perhaps you might want to do the exchange at a JR station near/en route to your accommodation for the night.

I just realized most of them close at 6.30 or 7pm, guess you might have to just get a one-way ticket to your accommodation and exchange for the passes the next morning. Else, there's only Tokyo station as someone suggested.
