Best place to see Mt Fuji

From Tokyo, I'm planning to go on a day trip to see Mt. Fuji. Two places have been recommended - Hakone, and Fuji 5 Lakes. I'm leaning towards going to Lake Kawaguchiko.
I have a JR Pass, map/guides, can't speak Japanese. I'm concerned if language will be a big factor in getting around the area of Lake Kawaguchiko. Hakone seems to be a popular tourist place so I'm assuming that it'll be more tourist friendly compared to Lake Kawaguchiko.
What else should I consider before deciding which place to go?

Hello,
If you can not speak Japanese you can ask for a day tour with an English guide (japantourinfo.com). If you go alone, I do not think that you have problems anyway.
You should go to Hakone. It is an interesting place and beautiful place.
