Kyoto's 500 Yen City Bus Pass 2014/3/29 08:11
Hi!

Where can I buy the \500 City Bus Pass using ICOCA Card? All convenience stores sell the bus pass? I want to use ICOCA to pay for the pass to finish off the credit...

Thanks,
Mel

I think that it is not possible you purchased using a credit card or ICOCA it. Available for purchase place is in the bus, information office, sales office.
By the way, from March 22, visitors to use it now to be able to go Arashiyama and Saga.

There are vending machines around the bus terminal but not sure if you can pay using ICOCA.

Hi!

I'm in Kyoto now. It's fantastic to be back! Some convenience shops do sell the day pass and they accepts ICOCA card payment.

Just found out.. Even though the convenience store sells the bus pass and they accept ICOCA card you the pass can't be paid with ICOCA card :(

If I can buy the pass using ICOCA then I can finish off the \1500 ICOCA credit by buying 3 x bus pass.. Rather than 'throwing away' \1500 buying snacks (which I don't usually need)..
