Fuji-Hakone Free Pass 2014/4/2 12:27
Hi,

According to this page http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2358_014.html

Round trip:
1) The round trip is to be done by Odakyu Railways between Shinjuku and Odawara and Fujikyu/Keio highway bus between Kawaguchiko Station and Shinjuku. You have to use the train for one of the two journeys and the bus for the other.

Conditions:
- Hotels/ryokans are booked on each days
- Purchase the Fuji-Hakone 3-day pass

Itinerary
Day X (Saturday): Shinjuku - Hakone. (Stay 1 night in Sengoku)
Day Y (Sunday): Sengoku - Gotenba - Kawaguchiko (Fuji Q Highland) - Back to Shinjuku at night (Stay in Shinjuku)
Day Z (Monday): Shinjuku - Gotemba Premium Outlet - Shinjuku

Question:
Is the Odakyu-Hakone Highway bus from Shinjuku - Gotemba Premium Outlet - Shinjuku still valid on the 3rd day? Or the round trip for the pass can only be used once and must be use on the route of Kawaguchiko - Shinjuku?

According to Odakyu official site, it seems that Fuji Hakone Pass for transport from Tokyo (Shinjuku) (on the Odakyu Line and the Chuo Highway Bus) is limited for only round-trip. So even within 3 days, you cannot use it 3 times.
As to other transport system, they are unlimited.

Please check this site.

The Fuji Hakone Pass is valid for 3 days and exclusive to non-Japanese visitors. It covers excursion travel in the popular Fuji and Hakone areas.
The pass includes discount round-trip transport from Tokyo (Shinjuku) (on the Odakyu Line and the Chuo Highway Bus), unlimited use of specified transport in the Hakone and Fuji areas, and discounts on entrance and other fees to about 60 museums and restaurants.
You can take the Hakone Tozan Line, which runs along the steep slopes of Hakone's mountains, famous as tourist attractions, or the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise over Lake Ashi.
The Hakone/Fuji area is rich with nature, so you can see various landscapes in each season.

I think about the Pass, when you return to Shinjuku, ticket like most of the other, that it is necessary to pass to the staff of the station getting off it.
I think so if you want to go to the outlet mall, and there are many places that can also go to other Gotemba.

If you have only to Gotemba brand shop you want to visit, Although it is no choice to go there.
