Kanazawa and Takayama for Cherry Blossom

Hi

is it too late to see beautiful cherry blossom in Kanazawa from 11-12 April?
Where (exactly ) in Kanazawa for best view of cherry blossom (like Kyoto) as we are late for it in Kyoto (ends 7 April) ?
And how to go from Osaka (Umeda Station) to Kanazawa and its transport charges?

Will be also going to Takayama on 13-14 April. Will be able to catch any cherry blossom?
And How to got from Kanazawa to Takayama? and its transport charges?
What is good to see at Takayama?

I'm not sure about the cherry blossom as I visited these 2 cities in winter time.

You can take nohi bus from Takayama to Kanazawa.

For Takayama there is a good chance you may see some blossoms if they start opening soon.

Right now they have not even begun to open. You can check the status of both Takayama and Kanazawa here:

Kenrokuen Garden is listed at 70% right now, so it will likely be full bloom tomorrow or the next day. You may catch the end of it, but I think you'll miss the full bloom.

Utatsuyama Park hasn't started opening yet in Kanazawa though, so they may be blooming when you come.

It actually looks like the dates of your visit will be good for a visit to Toyama Prefecture, a neighbor of Ishikawa. Keep track of the blooming progress, but I think if Takayama is not blooming or not satisfying, you're best bet will be Toyama.

I'm visiting kanazawa today and tomorrow, the bloom is not yet full.
The people here predicting with the warm weather today & tomorrow, full bloom will be tomorrow or the day after. So, fingers cross, you'll be able to see sakura at kenrokuen and castle park at the 11th.

Appologees, I had the dates mixed up and thought you were starting your trip up north from the 13th-14th. Your days should be prime time at Kenrokuen as the other user said. No reason to head to Toyama I think!

I will be traveling there on these dates:

15/4 - Takayama
16/4 - Shirakawa-Go
17/4 - Kanazama

Unfortunately all the farmhouses were booked out in Shirakawa-Go, but hopefully I will also be able to see the cherry blossoms.
