Koenji Awa Odori 2014 - Date?

Some websites state this festival always takes place at the last weekend of August (i.e. 30./31. in 2014), others claim it will be around the 15th of August. One website says it will take place on 23./24. this year.

Can anyone give me the correct date for 2014 please?

OK, I'm confused... a little...

It also has the same link to the official website as the other responder gave you, which clearly states the Awa Odori is on August 23rd and 24th.

My guess is that the festival is held on forth Saturday and Sunday of the month, and it was held on the 24th and 25th last year. I think Seasonal Traditions just copied the date from last year, and didn't re-check their work.

I have also found another date in July that I suspect is off by one day.

I would go with the 23rd and 24th.
