Hakone for 2 nights?

I will be in Hakone for 2 nights with my Husband in June, I was wondering which area would be the best to look for accommodation?
I would prefer Ryokan style accommodation

Hakone Yumoto if your budget is bigger. Other possible areas can be Gora (Lalaca) or Tonosawa (Ichinoyu).
Lake Ashi (Prince Hakone) is beautiful but less accessible. I would stay there if my luggage is small and handy enough to lug up a bus.
