From Nagoya to Kawaguchiko 2014/4/10 16:13
I will be in Nagoya mid of May. Would like to visit Fuji Shibazakura(Moss Phlox) Festival. I have referred to a lot of comments but confuse how to get there. Seems like so many ways. Can anyone help to show the easiest way?

I think going by Shinkansen to Shinfuji, bus's shortest from there.

There is direct bus from Shinjuku in Tokyo to the Fuji Shibazakura festival venue.

From Nagoya you can take JR to Shinjuku with a transfer in either Shinagawa or Tokyo station. You can look up train schedule using hyperdia.

Hi William5,

That will take longer time and more costly right?

Re: From Nagoya to Kawaguchiko 2014/4/11 14:24
You are right, Yunice.

It would take longer and cost more if you travel to Tokyo first. I just made the silly assumption that people travel to the Fuji Five Lakes region from the west will continue to Tokyo anyway and that most will be using a rail pass. Do forgive my negligence, especially if you are planning to go back to Nagoya after your visit to the Fuji Shibazakura festival.

Hi William5,

No worries, knew that is an extra option. Ya I am planning just one day trip to there. So hope can save some time so that can spend more time there.

Do anyone know that any link can check the transportation like in Japan? There is an index link which can check which line to take where to change the train etc?

Thanks a lot!
