Anyone have updated information on wisteria bloom schedule. We are planning to visit in late May. Is this too late to view wisteria? Would greatly appreciate best transportation advice to site.

Does anyone know if there are coin lockers at Yahata Station? I'm stopping at Yahata from Hakata for the Kawachi Fuji Garden on the way back to Tokyo

Yes, there are large coin lockers. I used them when I went to the Fuji gardens while going from Beppu to Hakata.

For transportation to go to the garden: Currently, bus number 56 has not been operated is to Kawachi Shogakko mae. One of the alternative means is to get on the shuttle bus to go to Onsen called Ajisai-no-yu near the garden from Yahata Station. According to the web site below, it starts to 10:15,11:25,12:25,13:25 from Yahata Station. http://www.souyu.co.jp/ajisai/

Shuttlebus from station to Onsen works very well but we came back by taxi sharing price of 2.650 yen amongst four people. By far the best Wisteria garden we've been to in Japan. Yanagawa Wisteria Festival can't compare at all! This is a must see!
