Akai Kutsu Tour Bus 2014/4/15 02:01
I’m interested in the Akai Kutsu Tour Bus. Is this a Hop On, Hop Off bus? Can I get on at any stop or must I go to their bus terminal in Sakuragicho Bus Terminal. If at any of their stops, do I pay the 100 yen fare when I get on the bus or when I exit the bus? There are 2 tour routes, Route C and Route M, is it best to change bus at Sakuragicho Bus Terminal?

Any information you can share with me will be very much appreciated. Thank you -Velma

Akai Kutsu buses are sightseeing route buses offered by City of Yokohama; they are not chartered tour bus.

Like most other Yokohama City Bus routes, a flat fare applies to Akai Kutsu Bus Route (C) / (M); regardless of length of sections, the fare is 100 yen per ride.

You can take an Akai Kutsu bus from one stop to the other on the same route, but please note that buses run in one direction on most of the routes.
(On Route (C), you can choose a direction
between (C1 / C20) Sakuragicho eki-mae (station) and (C5 / C16) Aka Renga Soko (Red Brick Warehouse).)
You can tell the direction by a white arrow shown in the route map.

On Yokohama City Bus website, an English-language edition of this route map is not available; hopefully you can get one at a tourist information center.

Hello haro and omotenashi. Thank you very much for your helpful information. Omotenashi, thank you for all the time and effort you put into providing me with more helpful information than what I would have been able to find on my own. Again, thank you haro and omotenshi.
