Car hire Kyushu

I am traveling from Hiroshima to Kyushu by train and want to visit Takachiho, Mt Aso and Kurokawa over two days. I want to hire a car and would need to book from Australia. Which City and car hire company is the most suitable for me. I will be travelling by train back to Hiroshima.

Kumamoto should be a good base. Toyota rent-a-car is nice and most of the time we get a full English GPS from them, just that their rental rate sometimes is more expensive. A popular and reliable agency is ToCoo. Both Toyota and ToCoo have outlets near Kumamoto JR station.
