- Map of subway Nishi-Umeda Station (Y11)
http://www.kotsu.city.osaka.lg.jp/library/station-guide/Y/y11/pdf/stat...Personally I have not tried this route, but I try to explain it.
From Nishi-Umeda Station (Y11) of subway Yotsubashi Line,
you can proceed to the platformfs north end (in the direction of your train),
go upward to the subway concourse, pass through North Gate (for exiting only)
and go up a staircase to Exit 3.
A ticket gate of Hanshin (Umeda Station) is to your right, and a pathway to JR (Osaka Station: Sakurabashi Gate) is in front of you.
Then you can proceed on the pathway to its end, turn right and go up the nearby staircase (#).
You see Sakurabashi Gate of Osaka Station on your left and the west corner of South Gate Building in front of you.
(#) According to a map offered by JR-West, here is a staircase. According to the Floor Guide of Osaka Station City, here are escalators.
The pathway to JR has sideways for Daimaru Department Store (Umeda-mise), so alternatively you can enter South Gate Building on the 1st basement.
