Resort Shirakami in October

Will the Resort Shirakami train only run on weekends in October? If train ride starts from Hirosaki to Akita, will we miss scenic view of Aomori area?

The autumn timetables won't be published for a few more months; however, it is very unlikely that the Resort Shirakami will stop daily operation in October this year.

The operation schedule is likely to be very similar or identical to last year's schedule, when there were two daily round trips through November plus one additional round trip during busy days which included the entire month of October. So, you can likely expect three round trips per day during October 2014.

Thank you for the information. Is there a big advantage to take the afternoon train to view the sunset or is the morning train ride just as good. I read that traveling from Akita to Aomori gives a better view than Aomori to Akita. Is this true?
