Recharging Pasmo ticket in Kyoto

We are planing to visit Japan on the 3rd of May. We are staying the first week at Tokyo and then (after some stops) we are getting to Kyoto. I was reading that the PASMO ticket is good to use in Kyoto subways and in the Nara Kintesu. I was wondering however if it can be recharged in Kyoto?
Thank you

No problem, SUICA cahrger can re-charge PASMO also in Tokyo. In Kansai-area, you can use ICOCA or PiTaPa chager for it.

Around Kyoto it is wasteful to use a Pasmo or Suica card. With those cards you pay full fare for every trip. A 1-day bus pass in Kyoto is only Y500 and a 1-day subway pass is only Y600. Combination 1-day Bus & Subway is Y1200.

Thank you for your help. I am aware that the IC cards don't have any discount, but since I am spending 23 days in Japan (8 in Tokyo and 6 in Kyoto) I need some convenient way to travel in the subways. So I plan to get an IC card in Tokyo and charged quite enough so I wouldn't be needing to do it again in Kyoto and if I need some refund latter on I will do so.
Thanks again for ur help!
