Sera kougen from Hiroshima

Hi! I came across information on sera kougen while researching my visit to Hiroshima from 6-8 may. It looks like I might be in time for the tulip festival, which ends 11 May, however the hana meguri bus service would not be available from 3 may. Does anyone know how to get there by public transport from Hiroshima? I'm travelling alone so a car rental would not be economical..thanks!
