For a 12 day stay in Japan arriving at Narita and going to Kyoto for 10 days then from Kyoto back to Narita for departure would the purchase of a JRPass be my best choice financially? or should I buy single tickets upon arrival?. I'm travelling from Australia and understand that I would need to buy the JPpass before I leave. Can I use the JRpass from Kyoto to Nara and Osaka whilst I'm there?...thank you.
