Hiking the Tateyama Kurobe in Mid November? 2014/5/1 00:06
I'm planning on doing the Tateyama kurobe trail during my visit in mid November, with a stay over at Mikurigaike Onsen. I know by November it will be snowing, but how much can one hike during this time. Will the trails be closed, or will it still be possible to explore on foot? Also, if there is a lot of snow, are there anywhere to rent snow shoes? Thanks in advance for any info.

So no one has any information about the trails on the Tateyama Kurobe alpine Route in mid-Novmber? Will I be able to explore the hiking trails if it is snowing by then?

By mid November, the hiking trails around Murodo will be snow covered and unpassable. But the walking trail from the bus terminal to the Mikurigaike Onsen will be passable.

Snow shoe rental seems to be available at Murodo:
