one day trip to Tateyama Alpine Route

Dear Friends,

I plan to have a day trip to Tateyama Alpine Route+Matsumoto castle. My starting point will be Kawaguchiko and the end point will be Tokyo.
Do you think it is feasible to have it in one day. I dont mind to arrive rather late in Tokyo.

Kawaguchiko area is closer to the east end of Alpine Route, which is Shinano-Omachi Station.
If you start from Kawaguchiko area, it is not recommendable to both visit Matsumoto Castle and travel through Alpine Route in one day. After visiting Matsumoto Castle, you can reach Shinano-Omachi Station only in the afternoon.

thank you.. if I prefer to visit the Alpine route only, how long it'll take the roundtrip from Shinano-omachi-Murodo/snow wall and back again..?
I plan to leave Kawaguchiko around 8am.

It takes about 5 hours to get from Kawaguchiko to Shinano-omachi. I will recommend you to start your journey on 5:20am or get to Matsumoto one day before your journey.
