Osaka - Takamatsu by ferry approach

I have an idea of going to Takamatsu from Osaka by ferry approach. I know there is one from Kobe (5 hours) and one from Wakayama (2 hours).
I am not sure which approach would be most interesting. I would prefer going by boat if the weather is not too bad.
I did ride by boat from Naoshima to Takamatsu but it was too late to even visit Takamatsu itself, ending up going directly back to Okayama again. But I loved the Seto-inlandsea a lot.

I would take Kobe-Takamatsu route since this is more straight forward (Wakayama-Tokushima route requires additional ride to Takamatsu, 1 hour by JR). Also you can see th port of Kobe and Akashi Kaikyo bridge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akashi_Kaikyō;_Bridge Also the traveling cost is much cheaper (1800 yen one way, you can buy it at 1500 yen at some ticket shops in Kobe Sannomiya).
