Bullet train visit to Mt Fuji 2014/5/22 07:54
We plan to take bullet train Tokyo to Kyoto. Can we get off train for a few hours to visit Mt Fuji for the day before finishing trip later in the day?
Which station is best to get off/on?
Is there left luggage at that station so we can leave our bags?
Will breaking trip like this increase train fare? JR pass not warranted for us!
Thanks
Peter

Qn: Can we get off train for a few hours to visit Mt Fuji for the day before finishing trip later in the day?

Ans: Yes

Qn: Which station is best to get off/on?

Ans: You have to first decide how you want to visit Mount Fuji. Shin-Fuji Station provides access to the Fujinomiya trail

Ans: There are lockers that you can use.

Qn:Will breaking trip like this increase train fare? JR pass not warranted for us!

Ans:It will increase the shinkansen limited express fee.
