Is a return ticket between Tateyama Station and Kurobe Dam valid for 5 days and repeated trips? e.g. Can I go from Tateyama to Murodo and return to Tateyama on Day 1 and then go again from Tateyama to Kurobe Dam on Day 2 and return? Thanks!

No, you are not allowed to do repeated trips. Only a single round trip is allowed. No backtracking. The validity of the ticket is up to five consecutive calendar days. But if you make a full round trip on day 1, the ticket will be used-up and become invalid already on day 1.
